Points of interest on the info superhighway...

There are so many great sites. These are my favorites, where I can get my work done quickly and get back to sewing!

  • The Needle and I—Quilting and fabric shop extraordinaire in Everett WA
  • Ami Simms—Hilarious quilter and maverick in quilting for causes. See also The Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative
  • Superior Threads—As if a fabric stash wasn’t enough, get a load of this!
  • King's Men Quilting Supplies—Great stuff at great prices
  • Busy Bee Quilters Guild—Best Guild Ever! This guild changed my life. We meet monthly on the third Thursday (day or night) in Snohomish, WA.
  • Quilters Anonymous—Another Best Guild (really). These quilters are a hoot! Meetings are monthly.
  • Google Image Search—An excellent general resource. When I need birds on my quilts, I’ll Google heron images and come up with lots of images to fuel my imagination.

Non-digital or non-quilting resources:

  • I also keep a bird book, foliage books, bug and butterfly books in my library. Dover and Sunset books have great line drawings of many species. Plus you can find lots of them at thrift shops!
  • Brooklyn Brothers Pizza in downtown Everett—Fantastic fuel for the best of us quilters.
